Great Books: Jake Ransom and literary hoarding

My daughter has been waiting for almost a year for this book to come out. She’s read every single book in the series and had this on advance order with Amazon. She tore through this in a little over a day.

Sort of like devouring a meal. In one big bite.

I’m happy for her, but sad too. She’s got the “The End” blues. You know that feeling? When you FINALLY get your hands on the latest installment and read all night and then you are done and you suddenly realize there is no more.

I confess. I never read the last chapter of the last Harry Potter. Or the last Twilight book. Or Little House. I just couldn’t. They’re all still there for me. I’m sure this is a bizarre form of hoarding.

Anyone have a recommendation of books she might enjoy next?

My daughter is the same way about books. Her favorite right now is James Patterson the “Maximum Ride” series.
