Looking for some Disney Star Wars Party inspiration?
I recently attended the opening of the new Star Tours attraction at Disneyland (this is a whole other post!) and the party to celebrate at the Disneyland Hotel.
Wow.
When Disney does a party, they do it well. You might not be able to spring for the live stormtroopers at your party but there was plenty of inspiration within reach at this event, including:
LightSaber Centerpieces – placed in tall glass vases and anchored in rocks
Tiny Out of this world gizmo sweets on sticks including marshmallows dipped in white chocolate & poprocks, marshmallows dipped in chocolate and sprinkles, cookies dunked in blue chocolate and edible glitter and cream filled cones. Sparkly!

Truffles with circular cookies in orbit
A magnificent ice sculpture on the buffet… ok wait, this one’s a little tougher. But you could use a poster or if you want to go all out with the ice, try filling and freezing an assortment of cake pans with star wars themed toys inside and stacking on the buffet for a unique and exciting display.
The navy blue tablecloths and white tableware really set the perfect backdrop for all the colorful and sparkly food. I can’t wait to have a Star Wars party here at home!
I can’t really discuss how good these desserts were. Or how many of them I ate. Let me just say I sampled enough to tell you they were DELISH and very fun!
