Earlier this school year I reviewed a planner. It was lovely. I liked it.

So did my darling teenaged daughter. She NEEDED it, she argued, to keep track of homework, classes, dances, etc. Who am I to argue with a teen that wants to use a planner? Her time is valuable too. I gave it up to her and switched over to a TimeMine planner for myself.

I love my TimeMine planner so much that I won’t make you read to the end of this post to get to the awesome coupon I have to share with you. It’s MOMF30 and it saves you 30% off your planner for the rest of November 2011. Read on to see why you, if you are even a little like me, need one.

I’ve long been a fan of the TimeMine series. First of all because they come in gorgeous designs on the outside. But what’s on the inside is what is most important.

These days my life is so scheduled, that every single line in my planner counts. My husband travels for business, I own a small clothing biz and am working full time as a consultant while developing a tv show and oh yeah…. I have 4 kids in 4 different schools.

And this blog.

I know. I’m not even sure how I do it. It sounds ridiculous in print. I walk softly and I carry big, well organized planner.

What I love about the TimeMine series on the inside is that there is the space to record a LOT of stuff. I don’t have just one or two appointments, conferences calls, and meetings per day. I have run out of space on most standard planners. There is nothing more overwhelming than a planner with sticky notes and tiny print everywhere because you could not fit everything in. The TimeMine planners know me well. They have a place for me to put sticky notes, in case I have filled everything else in!

Sometimes I cannot fit everything in, in life. When I have two back to school nights scheduled at the same time in different cities, for example. But at least I’m not missing events because I did not know about them. TimeMine planners keep me in the driver’s seat and help me craft a plan, even when things get impossible. I can make myself a note to schedule a meeting with the preschool teachers, since I chose to attend the High School information night.

I get so much satisfaction from crossing things of my list and keeping track. It’s hard being a mom. Super hard for me at the moment. But help isn’t on the horizon. It’s on my desk!

Now if only I could keep my toddler from spilling my coffee on my planner, I might actually be able to rule the world!

Disclosure: I received a TimeMine planner to try out. I was using it daily till my three year old spilled a Venti Americano on it. It’s still useable after a little time drying in the sun, which I think says a lot about the paper quality actually. I was not compensated for this post. My crazy life and opinions are as always, my own.
