One of my kids’ favorite junk food treats are Bambas. They are made by Osem, and widely available in Israel where they are a popular kid junk food snack staple. You can also buy them in the USA at kosher shops and in specialty markets. They are available at my local Gelsen’s gourmet market too.
How do you describe Bambas? They are like a peanut flavored cheese puff. It sounds gross but I assure you it’s not.
When I was recently in Israel I had the pleasure of attending a chocolate workshop at Kibbutz Dagania in the Galilee and one of the items we worked with was Bambas, dunked in delicious Galita chocolate. Light bulb!
I could not wait to come home and make chocolate covered Bambas snacks with my kids. This is a super easy treat to make and looks cute enough to package up in cellophaneand bring to a party. Just make sure it’s a peanuts allowed one!
I melted my melting chocolate in the microwave. Using a toothpick I rolled the bamba in the chocolate and then transferred to a sheet of waxed paper. I sprinkled on some sprinkles to make it festive and left to cool.
My kids are pretty psyched about these and they couldn’t be easier to make. I don’t think they will last very long…
