Need a quick, super easy snack for your kid’s Purim party at pre-school? Note to the non-Jews: Technically these are just Pita Pizzas ok? They are triangular-hat-shaped because the villian of the Purim story, Haman, wore a triangular hat. And now we eat his hat.  Yum. Mostly we eat  “Hamantaschen” that are cookie-like and sweet….

I don’t even watch the Superbowl, but after looking at these Snackadiums I am overwhelmed with an urge to host a party just so I can construct one of these big bad beautiful buffets.  Sure they are a little gross, and full of things you probably should not ever eat (slim jim goal posts?) but…

I’ll give the Zucchini recipes a rest… eventually. When we’ve worn out the stock! This one was thrown together with help from my fave local spot to shop,  Trader Joes. Here’s how to do it: 1. Scoop seeds and some of the flesh (carefully) out of an oversized zucchini that has been split in half….

I’m not making resolutions this year. It’s a recipe for disappointment, in my experience. Call me superstitious but whenever I make a resolution, I seem to face a major curveball, and that leads to a colossal sense of failure. If anything, I resolve not to be so hard on myself when things don’t work out….

I jumped on the juice bus about a year ago. Long before I’d ever heard of Spud.com.  It makes perfect sense for me. I’m gluten free and sensitive to so many preservatives and additives. I worry about what nutrients I’m getting from my diet. Often I don’t eat for fear of making myself sick, or…

We have a funny family tradition at Hanukkah. It started over ten years ago when we felt pressured by our neighbors to decorate/light our house for the holidays. Our hood goes all out and gets competitive with it. There are cash prizes to the most well lit tract in our little town. Cash = awesome…

They said it couldn’t be done. Which was my invitation to try. Last night I took my original Gluten free donut recipe and re-calibrated it to make it free of several more allergens, all of which my niece cannot eat. Here are my modifications: I used a flour mix that was mostly Rice flour with…

Here’s a Menorah that won’t last all 8 nights. But it will light up your children’s eyes! It’s made out of Marshmallow twists, peanut butter cups, gelt and orange “slices” gumdrops. Took about ten minutes to assemble. Less for our crowd to devour.

Here’s a menorah that requires a little shopping but not a lot of crafting. Anyone can put one like this one (currently on my mantle) together. I’ve seen a lot of menorahs made from multiple bottle of the same size and color but I’m partial to a mix and match approach, so long as you…
