I was walking through Nordstrom when I first spied a Fjallraven backpack. Or maybe that was just the first time I saw one for sale, here. There was something so immediately familiar and right about these classic, gorgeously simple backpacks that I felt like I’d know them all my life.
If you haven’t taken note of Fjallraven yet, now is the time. You and your kids are about to embark on an adventure this fall – and these bags make the perfect partners.
Thanks to Fjallraven for sending a kid’s mini kanken bag from the fall collection for us to check out & review. All opinions are my own
Possibly, *probably* what attracted me instantly the first time I saw the bags, was the Fox shaped logo. As the mom of a kid named “Fox” I am always on the lookout for Fox branded items, both for him and myself.
It was the clever design, wide range of great colors and high quality construction that lodged these bags firmly in my heart, however. I’m a sucker for simple things done right.
Some things I love about these bags:
- Water/Weather Resistant
- Carry Handles on top
- Eco Friendly production & shipping practices
- Over 40 Colors and 8 sizes
- Designed with student’s needs and ergonomics in mind
Note: These awesome bags are not just for kiddos at all! They make excellent diaper/camera/travel bags as well. My teenaged daughter loves their mini bags as the perfect alternative to a purse for her all day theme park, beach and hiking with friend adventures and I’m off to shop for a backpack for myself to take on travel writing and photography daytrips and assignments. We’ll all have to choose different colors so we can keep our bags sorted.
Enough with the backpacks that have plasticky earbud holders and dumb speakers built in. Do your kids really need those breakable bells and whistles or do they need a sturdy, classic, ergonomic backpack that will keep their stuff dry and wear well enough for several hand-me-downs?
Thought so.
Old school is the new cool for back to school.
You can quote me on that.
