I have an issue at times with the term “workout wear”. Because whatever I wear to workout, has to do more. I’m likely to wear my workout wear to drive kids to school, and pick up groceries.
Trust me when I say, it’s not flattering to wear baggy sweats and yoga pants to the grocery store. If you have teenaged daughters you can expect a fair share of once overs and “You’re wearing THAT?!”
Can you blame them?
Since I’m not about to give up on the workout and I don’t have time to shower and change between activities, I go for a few key pieces. Clean lines. Flared pants. Tanks. Versatile wrap sweaters & cardis. Yes is is active Wear but really it’s go-anwhere wear.
When Macy’s asked me to check out some of the items from their Active Wear for Women collection I was thrilled to find my go to pieces I ordered some black yoga pants from Ideology as well as the wrap cardi pictured above in black and white.
I was really pleased with the fit and quality of the pieces I recieved. In fact I am on the road as I write this review and two of the three pieces (the wrap cardis)I received for review are in my bag. These wrap cardigans are ideal for plane travel, chilly conference rooms, and yes yoga on the beach.
But let’s face it, life doesn’t always stop for showers after beach yoga. My activewear has to do more. These pieces can go to the gym and out to dinner too. Which is perfect for me and my crazy busy lifestyle.
