Thursday is International Women’s day and I am joining forces with HollywoodHotMoms, and Vittana.org to host a twitter chat about empowering women through education.
Vittana, a non-profit organization, empowers young people through education and opportunity. A pioneer in education microloans for students in developing countries, Vittana has demonstrated a 3-fold increase in student’s income and a positive impact on families and communities.
At Vittana.org, anyone with $25 can make a loan to a young woman in 12 countries across five continents, and 100% of the loan goes to the student with a remarkable repayment rate of 99.8%.
