I’ll admit it. I’m completely addicted to Instagram. Both taking photos and looking at the photos of friends and strangers around the world. I tune in before I go to sleep, and scroll through as I eat breakfast.
Some of my favorite people to follow are my fellow moms. I’ve noticed a trend with our photos. We tend to snap the same sort of stuff. Myself included. Does that make it boring? Not to me! It makes it better. It makes me feel connected. I tune in daily to see their giant mugs of coffee and sleeping babies and breathe a sigh of kinship.

Many of the things that I do online are intricately woven into my work. They drive impressions, they build content.
I could say the same about Instagram and yet I don’t think of it that way. It’s something I do that feels like a pure indulgence for me. A source of genuine pleasure. Over the last yr or so I’ve documented my days with Instagram and recorded my kid’s growth, challenges and all the “little things” I’ve noticed as well. Dewdrops on spiderwebs.
Instagram has made me a better mom, a better blogger, better photographer and more conscious “looker” for beauty and relativity in the small things.
It doesn’t feel like work at all. It feels like love!

I was all over instagram when I first got my iPhone, but then I fell off. I love the idea of it, but I just never seem to remember to use it! I’m gonna try an get back into it and connect w/you. I’ll tag some of favs.
