We didn’t quite make it to the ideal fireworks viewing spot at Disneyland the other night. We were there for Disney’s Social Media Moms.
Instead we ended up watching the “show” from the middle of Tomorrowland, in between Space Mountain and Star Tours turns.
The view was spectacular.
Visiting friends and family sometimes ask me where to watch fireworks in Disneyland. My answer? Anywhere!
Sure there are ideal spots. Main Street near the circle is a popular viewing spot, as is the bridge by the castle and area outside Small World, which is often reserved for VIP parade and fireworks viewing.
But if you can’t get there in time? Don’t stress.

Even a peek at the Disneyland fireworks is special.
Our less than ideal spot turned out to be a treat. I loved seeing the facade of the Matterhorn change color with each firework.

People stopped in their tracks and pointed. My kids sat on the pavement, transfixed.
I had to turn around and snap a photo of their faces. The look is priceless. To me the only thing better than watching the fireworks, is watching the face of KIDS watching the fireworks.

There are no bad places in the Disneyland park to watch the fireworks. I’m convinced. We’ve watched them from the trams, holding sleeping toddlers and from the parking lot with aching feet.
I’ve watched Disneyland fireworks from planes taking off from John Wayne airport and from the I-5 driving by.
They never fail to make me smile. Any peek at that magic is a good one.
