Villa Del Palmar

Are you looking for a luxurious trip with an affordable budget?  In May I  took a trip to Loreto Mexico and stayed at the fabulous Villa Del Palmar resort.

I consider myself a foodie and appreciate fine dining but my family and I don’t always agree on a location to dine. My oldest Elisha has special dietary needs, my teeny boppers NEVER agree on restaurant choice, and my little guy likes simplicity. That’s one of the reasons why I love this resort; their food choices are endless and there is something for everyone.

The hotel’s food is fresh, delectable, and artistic in presentation.

I loved that they grow their own vegetable in an on site garden. The fresh produce that they grow is in the resort’s three restaurants. Seafood served at the resort is fished for right off the beach. It’s a very farm to table, eat local ethic!

They also have a Vegetarian and Gluten free menu.

I devoured this amazing French Toast topped with fresh fruit, fried crisps, and powdered sugar. Other great breakfast choices were hot cakes, traditional chilaquiles, tamales, and seasonal fresh fruit.

This is tortilla soup at its finest! It was elegantly served before our main entrée. The beautiful and careful presentation added to the rich sophisticated experience that this resort offers.

The decadent desserts are endless. Tiramisu, Cannoli, Panna Cotta, Chocolate cake,  and New York Cheesecake are just some of the options available to satisfy your sweet tooth. Seasonal fresh fruit was abundant for guilt free dessert.

Travel Tip: The Chocolate Clams are a must have at the resort and in and around Loreto (they are called Chocolate because of the shell’s color). They were very delicious and were a food highlight during my stay.

The dinning experience at Villa Del Palmar was an thematic and meaningful. Their Chefs are prideful and always looking for innovative  creations that will keep the resort’s menu fresh and enticing.

My stay was memorable and I can hardly wait to plan my return with my family. I know it will be a stress free experience.

Loreto has a rich history and amazing natural splendors. It is known for the stories of the Chochimi indians and as the land of “The Giants.” To be continued….
