Halloweentime is my favorite time of year at Disneyland and this year is a banner one. The parks are totally decked out for the season and many of the rides have been transformed, including Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion. This year marks the 13th anniversary of “Jack Skellington” taking up residence in the Mansion for the season and there are many new additions to the decor. It’s a little different every year, but this year they have gone all out and there some little surprises you might miss if you don’t know where to look!
While checking out this years Halloweentime festivities and decor, we went on the the “Happiest Haunts” Tour. This tour was just amazing and is really the key to seeing and hearing about all that the park has to offer during the Halloween season. Not to mention a guided escort directly on and off all the most popular must-ride attractions. I have more details about the Happiest Haunts tour on Babble Disney Voices. It’s really a perfect fit for a family like ours, with older and younger kids. Something for everyone!
Little kids (ok big kids too!) will love the trick or treat trails throughout the park during Mickey’s Halloween Party. Plenty of candy to trade with your friends while you watch the fireworks!
Speaking of which… No trip to Disneyland at Halloweentime would be complete without sticking around for the fireworks. It is the most spectacular show of the year, in my opinion! I love to watch the looks on other people’s faces while they are watching.
Thanks to Disneyland for providing press tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party and the Happiest Haunts tour. All opinions are our own!
