It doesn’t get any easier than this magnetic message board for your Disney Cruise Cabin Door…
Looking for a super easy way to decorate your cabin door for a Disney Cruise? Need a project with zero to no crafting skills? Yup! (Picture me nodding like Goofy).
It’s been a long long time since I went on a Disney Cruise and oh my, have things changed. Fish Extenders, door decor… today’s cruisers are ALL IN.
When I started looking at all the ways people decorate their cabin doors for Disney Cruises, I was overwhelmed. I’m a crafty person but I only have so many hours in the day and I did not have a whole year to prepare. I wanted to do something simple, and was so pleased with the results on this simple idea.
Here’s a five minute hack for making a Mickey themed magnetic message board to hang on and decorate your cabin door. We went with a Mickey Ears theme but you can choose any character you like…
All you need is:
- Magnetic Message board like this one I found on Amazon for $6! Search for magnetic message boards for lockers.
- Mickey Mouse or Character themed Washi Tape. I found a variety of Disney themed washi tapes available on Amazon and at Michael’s craft stores.
Bonus points for stickers to further decorate your board.
Simply apply the tape to the frame’s border and add some character magnets and stickers if you choose. If you want to remove the tape after the cruise, washi tape is a great choice. It doesn’t leave much of a mess and is easy to remove.
Total cost is under $10 for a fun themed message board you can use on your cabin door during your cruise and on the fridge or in a locker afterwards. We had a lot of fun creating daily “polls” for our cabinmates, including the one pictured on our door above. Everyone agreed, Gaston takes the most selfies.
