A full 24 hours at Disneyland and you can go dressed as your favorite character? Nope, not a crazy dream. It’s #Disney24, the kickoff to summer party that runs all night and all day, and gives fans a chance to come to the parks in costume. It’s a people watcher’s and Disney fan’s dream come true, and was the perfect kick off for our new Disneyfluential column.
We hit the parks bright and early and a few members of our team made it the whole 24 hours. We accomplished a lot during this time, including 21 pin trades in under 24 hours, random acts of kindness (passing out fastpasses), interviewing park ambassadors (video coming soon) and handing out Disneyfluential pins to many new friends. So many awesome new instagram accounts to follow!
In case you can’t tell from our Instagram photo stream, our favorite #Disney24 activity was people watching! If you pick one day to visit Disneyland, this might be it. This is the day when park-goers of all ages, from all over the world, truly rock their #Disneyside. It’s the best time to see the best Disney costumes ever! We were blown away by the creativity, talent and dedication on display.
So many of the costumes were handmade. We wanted to give a special shout out to @ledreamscometrue for his spectacular Maleficent horns made out of leather. Along with the yellow eyes it was easily the fiercest homage to Maleficent in the park during the event. He documented the crafting process of how he made the Maleficent Horns on his Tumblr blog. We’re bedazzled.
From Pirates to princesses, this was one special day in the parks…
