Disclosure: As a member of the Invisalign Mom Advisory Board I was compensated in the past. I received the opportunity to Smile it Forward as part of this post. All opinions are my own.
It’s been more than a year and a half since I started treatment with Invisalign. I’ve got a lot to smile about. My teeth are straighter than they’ve ever been. I’m flashing my smile as much as I can. A full smile, not a self conscious closed-mouth version.
In that same period of time my 13 year old daughter has shed her traditional braces and switched to Invisalign. Her smile lights up my world daily.
I’m so lucky in many ways. I am lucky to live where I live, to have my family, my health and so much more. I’m thankful for all of it, and thankful that Invisalign has given me something else to smile about this Thanksgiving. Something WONDERFUL.
Invisalign has given me the chance to smile it forward by giving me the funds to brighten someone else’s life. And you may get the chance too.
What would you do with $500 to help someone else out? Would you help a friend? A relative? A stranger? Is there a particular charity you would donate it to?
You might have the chance to find out! Simply Enter in Invisalign’s Smile it Forward Sweepstakes. Not only will Invisalign give the winner $500 to donate, they will also give the winner $500 to keep and spend on themselves. That’s twice the smiles.
I’m thrilled to be a part of this amazing Sweepstakes and also to tell you what I am doing with my $500 opportunity to Smile it Forward. I am donating it to Shot@Life, as part of the Team Immunity #SnapshotatLife effort with my friend Tracey Clark.
For the past year I have championed Shot at Life , an organization that helps to help raise funds and awareness for the global need for Childhood Vaccines. One child dies every 20 seconds from a disease that could be prevented from with a vaccine. Why? Because one in five children lack access to the life-saving immunizations that keep children healthy. 1.5 million children a year. From preventable illness!
So what does $500 mean? It means 25 children will be immunized and have the chance to look forward to the full healthy lives they deserve.
It means we are halfway to our team goal of immunizing 50 kids! Hurray! Talk about a shot in the arm!
Through the end of the year we will be tagging assorted photos with #Snapshotatlife. Family photos, milestone photos, birthday pics. All the photos that make moms everywhere smile. I hope you’ll consider sharing your smiles and pictures with us by using the hashtag #SnapshotAtLife and tagging @SnapshotAtLife. Your photos and donations make a difference for real people and raise for awareness of this global issue. Every dollar counts. $20 immunizes one kid for life!
Are you inspired? I hope so. I hope this post has you thinking about how you’d Smile it Forward. Leave me a comment to let me know!
