I was introduced to a great STEM toy – the Dash Robot by Wonder Workshop at Toy Fair. I just received one in the mail and am extremely excited to have the opportunity to review and learn to code. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and STEM products encourage kids to develop core skills in these areas. Best Buy carries products from basic learning games to advanced toys designed to stimulate a child’s mind in the STEM areas, helping to develop logic and problem solving skills.
Dash presents kids with hundreds of projects, challenges, and puzzles as well as endless possibilities for freeform play so I figured I would take it with me to my office at the Zimmer Children’s Museum. Since I’m a huge Kidult, I had to try it out before the kids had a turn.

Using the Xylophone accessory and Xylo app, you are able to program Dash to compose and play a musical masterpiece

Dash makes coding easy and fun. Using the Freeplay mode, you can controlled Dash around turns and up ramps. Since I was in the rescue section of the museum, I programmed him with a few problem solving skills that kids could take away with them.

Dash made a few new friends! Ha.
I just scratched the surface with learning how to code with Dash. There is no limit to what kids can experience with Dash.
