The sound on your standard television set is limited. It can’t take you there… You need some high quality speakers, like these bookshelf speakers from Polk to elevate your viewing and listening experience.
Some of the sounds you may be missing include the cracking of a fire, the footsteps down the hallway, the rain on the windows, the food sizzling on the stove. These details might seem small, but they are the ambient noises that transport you, and make the experience more “real”.
Surround sound is immersive. It makes all the difference! Quite often you are not even aware of the rich depth of sound in a critical scene – unless you have the speakers to support it.

Polk’s tiny bookshelf speakers have a lot going for them. First of all they are a snap to install. Pretty much plug and play. They are attractive with or without their covers (your design choice). Their trim size helps them to fit in easily to almost any situation. In our case we were able to install them into our built in cabinet space right above our television.
We placed our speakers to the right and to the left of the television. Installation is quick – less than ten minutes. Easy peasy – instant sound gratification. With the speakers installed, our living room is full of deep, rich sound that wraps us up, and puts us right in the middle of the action.
I love these speakers for streaming music too. They are tied into our home theater system. This means I can easily listen to music via one of our streaming services. All I have to do is ask Alexa, and my living room is my disco.
In the past I was lazy. I was guilty of trying to convince myself that the sound from my phone, or the tv, or a smaller device, was sufficient. But it’s not. Really it’s not. My ears deserve better. My family deserves better. My home is warmer and richer now. There is no going back now.
Sometimes you do not know what you are missing until you hear the real thing.
Cheap, canned fast food is not as good as fresh gourmet. You can taste the difference and you can hear the difference with good speakers too. Don’t let a fear of tech complexity, or complacence keep you from the quality sound experience you deserve! Step it up and use more of your senses when you stream media into your home
