Nothing comes between me and my iPad… Nothing.
Am I aging myself here with that line?
I do hate the feeling of anything coming between me and my iPad. The touch screen interface is a huge part of the user experience. The moment you cover that screen, you begin to compromise the experience.
I’m not talking about whisper thin screen protectors. These are virtually indetectable. What really bothers me are the covers on most waterproof cases and “serious” protection for iPhones and iPads. I’m talking about the more rigid/thick plastic ones that sit away from the screen and protect your baby from accidents but leave you frustrated beyond belief tap tapping ten times and dragging your fingers fruitlessly. I haven’t even tried the assorted bags for devices because I know they’d make me nuts.
Here’s the thing: Glass is waterproof.
So the LifeProof Nuud case has come up with a system that seals the electronics, without covering the screen. It’s all a matter of locking down against the glass and sealing it off. It can be used with an approved screen protector if you also want to protect your screen from scratches (think beach use).
