When I met this guy, he was wearing a pair of cut sweatpants, an old lacrosse jersey and some high tops. He’d shrug his shoulders if questioned about his dinner attire. Whatever. He wasn’t a shopper. Lucky for him that everything fit well. He has one of those “frames”.
The years have gone by and almost two decades and four kids later, he cares a little bit more. He likes being the cool dad. He just can’t be bothered to spend a lot of time and money on it, and that is where I come in.
I love to shop!
Fortunately he still has a pretty damn good frame.
It only takes a few good pieces to get a pulled together look. Decent denim, a tailored jacket, some boots.
Time is short with four kids. We live about five minutes from a Kohl’s store where it is easy and affordable to stock up on basics, and thus I head over there often – late at night, even. They stay open quite late. When I shop for my husband I always look first at the Marc Anthony collection. I like it for the fashion forward cuts and on trend colors.
It’s the small details like soft distressed denim, and high quality fabrics and trims that win my respect. I appreciate Marc Anthony’s clothing. As a veteran of the clothing manufacturing world, I am happy spying details that are usually only found in much more expensive lines.
Disclosure: Thanks to Kohl’s for sending some fall clothes for my guy to try out. All opinions are my own. I’m grateful that we can count on Kohl’s to make it easy.
