Welcome to the Momfluential Community! We’re so glad to have you and can’t wait to see what unique stories, videos, reviews and insight you bring to the community. There are a number of ways to get your content aired on Momfluential. Here in this FAQ we’ve tried to outline how that happens.
Q: How do I get my content on Momfluential?
A: Tell Us! Throughout the Momfluential site you will see the “Share your Story” button in the sidebar Click on it, and you will be taken to a contact form where you can share your link, embed code, or point us to the content you’d like to share.
Q: What type of content can I share on Momfluential?
A: We’re all about visual, graphic content and browsing. That means less words, more images. Priority will always be given to content that is embeddable. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Youtube and Vimeo Videos
- Whrrl Stories
- Flickr Slide Shows
- Your Photos & Graphics (to be linked with credit)
Q: Will posting my content on Momfluential hurt my site’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?
A: No. We don’t want you to “crosspost” verbal content and would never ask you to do this. We will always link to your site and credit you for your visual content. We post your embeddable content along with original commentary. We don’t want to duplicate your efforts and we don’t want to steal your traffic. We want to give readers a “taste” of your content and send them home to you for dinner. Our links to your blog and our posting of your embeddable content will not hurt you at all. In fact they’ll make you look like even more of a rockstar.
Q: What the heck is embeddable content and how can I turn my blog post into something that is “embeddable”?
A: Embeddable content is content that is easily shared online. Publically posted videos on sites like YouTube offer embed code for you share. Slide Shows on Flickr also generate embeddable content. But you don’t have to make a video or use Flickr to create embeddable content. You can do this with ease on Whrrl. If you have even three images to share, you can create an embeddable story. For more advice on creating a Whrrl Story, please see our FAQ on creating reviews & sharing your stories on Whrrl.
Q: Ummm… Embeddable Schmeddable. I’ve got a great photo and awesome post to share. Do you still wanna see my stuff?
A: Yes! To be sure. If we think the world has got to know, and we’ve got the time, we’ll go ahead and turn your post highlights into a Whrrl story, directing folks back to your site for the full scoop awesomeness. Or if it makes sense to do so, we’ll simply post the photo you’ve shared with a link back to you, explaining why everyone need to click on over and experience your awesomeness. Now that’s some simple stuff!
Q: I’m a “PR Friendly” blogger. How can I share my product reviews on Momfluential?
A: We suggest you create a Whrrl account and create a story for each of your reviews you’d like to share. Odds are you have a few photos to share and the whole process will take less than ten minutes. Make sure to include the link to your full review on one of the text slides or captions. Be sure to include #momfluential in the title, comments or caption of your story to get it indexed. Please read our FAQ on creating reviews & sharing your stories on Whrrl for additional tips and advice.
Q: I am not a blogger but I have some product reviews, recipes, crafts, and other stuff I’d love to share with the Momfluential community.
A: First of all… Cool! Who says bloggers know it all? We want to hear from everyone. If you have videos or photos you’d like to share, you can submit them via the same form as bloggers. Contact us by clicking on one of the “Share your Story” buttons and we’ll be happy to review your submission for inclusion. We also recommend that you try using Whrrl to generate content and see our FAQ on creating reviews & sharing your stories on Whrrl.
Q: Why are you sending me to Whrrl?
A: Quite simply we think Whrrl is awesome. It’s a really simple way for anyone, even the less tech savvy among us, to share their stories, and more. Momfluential community members enjoy their own specialized community within the Whrrl site and will enjoy special benefits and rewards for participation there as well as on this site. If you have an iPhone or Blackberry, you can create stories on the go and later embed them on your own blog, as well as sharing them here.
