No time off from birthday parties! Even during the holidays. Be ready! Here’s a great DIY gift tag made with Avery printable tags and their free Hello Kitty printables.
With birthday parties to attend every weekend, even during holiday season, I have a quick hack that saves time and money. I pre-print out tags that say “Happy Birthday” and leave the back blank for the kids to write a message to their friends. This saves money on greeting cards, plus we’re always ready to go to the next party!
First, you need your Avery product. There are also designs for labels and cards, but I created these with the Avery Printable Tags, product 22802.
Side note: We are such huge fans of Hello Kitty that our white cat is actually named, Hello Kitty.
Next, go to avery.com/hellokitty and you can see all the designs that can be personalized and printed on your home printer. Just click on the “See Designs” link at the top of the page.
And then you can browse through the gallery or see all the designs for a specific product. I chose to see all the designs for the Avery Tags.
Next I chose the design I wanted to personalize.
This goes to a Customize screen where I typed in Happy Birthday and clicked to Preview and Print.
Then I could see the whole sheet and create a pdf to print from my desktop printer. Two tips here: Be sure fit to page is not checked and set the paper type to cardstock.
Here’s what the printed sheet looked like:
And here’s the finished result – so easy to make a gift look special with a simple bag and a little tissue paper.
