When I was a little girl I remember crawling into bed with my parents to sing lullabies en Español. My papi would sing songs like “Cielito Lindo” (Pretty Little Darling), “De colores”(All the Colors), and “Los Pollitos” (Little Chickies). I grew up in a bilingual home. My familia cherishes our Mexican heritage and we want our rich culture to be carried on by our kids. Sometimes, I hear my papi singing these traditional lullabies to his grandkids. It is very sweet….
I was thrilled to review this adorable little book called “Los Pollitos.” I am my nephew’s favorite Tia ~hehe, and I could not wait to read this libro to him.

My sobrino (nephew) loves to read. He was immediately drawn to the bright yellow board book. This sturdy book is colorful and has simple illustration. He is also being raised in a bilingual home and his parents are always looking for dual language books. Reading is essential for a child’s development. This book is ideal for infants and toddlers.
My nephew shouted, “WOW!”as he lifted the flap in the pop up book….
We are also teaching our son Español and he was excited to read this book to his primo (cousin). This book is reversible and in both in English and Spanish. The large font was easy for Andrew to read.
