I love the iPhone 6Plus. Love. It is NOT TOO BIG. As long as you have a Scoochcase.
But it can be unwieldy in certain situations. It’s not the easiest to hold out for selfies and I don’t love, say, leaning over the edge of a balcony to take a photo. It’s too easy to drop it in certain situations. Partly because I am prone to butterfingers and partly because, well, it’s big. It’s not the most ergonomic if you are going to be taking photos with your arm fully extended.
Enter the Scooch case which solves a number of problems all with one simple, elegant slim phone case. The trick: there is a small flip out piece on the back of the case. If you are familiar with “slap” style bracelets this will seem familiar. The piece flips out and then snaps back flat when you don’t need it. When you do need it, that little piece serves a multitude of purposes:
- Stick it in the vent of your car, to place your phone conveniently within reach to see and use as a speakerphone or navigation unit. No mounting hardware needed.
- Use the piece as a kickstand to prop your phone up for watching movies or content on your desktop or airplane tray.
- Place the kickstand between two fingers when holding your phone out at arms reach, to improve your grip.
- Use the kickstand to create a shoulder stand that makes it easy to do the head tilt/hands free chatting that is otherwise impossible with most cell phones.
Here’s a video demonstrating all the ways Scoochcase makes your life easier.
This is a military grade case that was designed to keep your phone safe, so you can rest assured that it is protected from drops. Those drops are just less likely to happen.
Scooch cases started out as clever kickstarter project. I’m so glad I got the chance to get my hands on one and try it out. If you’re looking for a handy travel/do it all case for someone in your life, check these out!
