For whatever reason, my sons like to take their shoes off the instant they get in the car. Next they peel off their socks, fling them into the far back and start giggling.
“Stinky feet!” they snigger.
I laugh a little less. The truth is, little boy feet really can stink!
So when Etnies wrote to me about these new, lightweight, antimicrobial lined shoes that have come out in time for summer stinky foot season, I was thrilled. Let me at em!
A new style for spring 2014, the Scout has a fully-lined inner with breathable mesh uppers, an exposed STI Evolution Foam midsole with rubber pods, STI Foam Lite Level 1 footbed, a heat transfer rap bar and elastic heel support for comfort. The Scout is part of etnies’ Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree reforestation program.
The sneakers looked nice in photos but in person, even more so. They are as light as a feather, flexible and comfortable. My very picky 9 year old son didn’t want to take them off.
Lucky for me they also come in adult sizes. I am life-trained to never wear sneakers without socks, in fear of the dreaded stinky shoe effect. But I threw caution to the wind with these new Etnies Scout sneakers and so far, so good. The cat looks scandalized, doesn’t she?
