Late last month PBTeen opened a store in South Coast Plaza and all of my kids promptly demanded a bedroom makeover. Even the 5 year old. He was way more impressed with the fuzzy chairs at PBTeen than any of the insanely cute little kid stuff I tried to fob off on him from Land of Nod, which is located across the mall hall.
The arrival of PBTeen in this part of South Coast Plaze (the Village) really cements that wing for us as the home decor destination.
Dangerously so. There is a Sur La Table, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm, Frette, Mitchell Gold, Crate and Barrel, Room and Board, Williams Sonoma and and … Macys, and… you get the idea. There’s a lot of damage I could do in a short span of time and taking very few steps.
But for my kids it’s all about PBTeen.
I love that this store allows kids to design their own space and provides them with the simple tools to get the job done. Working in store on the large computers that display on oversized lcd screens, kids can quickly mock up their dream room.
There’s a pretty great selection of back to school gear as well, if you are in the market for a backpack or lunchbox or locker gear.
We are pretty fortunate to have this store here in So Cal. Go check it out.
