Wishes for The New Year: Wish Bottle

I’m not making resolutions this year. It’s a recipe for disappointment, in my experience. Call me superstitious but whenever I make a resolution, I seem to face a major curveball, and that leads to a colossal sense of failure. If anything, I resolve not to be so hard on myself when things don’t work out.

So WISHES this year. Wishes it is. Wishes are so much nicer. They are representative of an intention and for me, there is a call to action. But no guilt, or sense of failure when a wish doesn’t come true. Just the urge to try harder.

Here is how our Wish Bottle Works:

1 Wish for yourself

1 Wish for someone else

1 Wish for the world

Write out your wish, sign & date, and pop in the bottle. We intend to open and revisit a decade of wishes in ten years time. Man… How I wish I’d started this ten years ago! It would be so fun to go through the wishes of New Year’s past.

We’ve includes the wishes of whatever friends are with us, as well as our own family’s.

I tossed in some glitter too. That never hurts.
