Putting a Bird on it since 1983

These are my Bat Mitzvah shoes. They were a modest white, originally.

I was really pissed off about these shoes. I wanted heels. Lilac suede peep toes with tiny heart shaped perforations, to be specific. Those were my dream shoes. The ones a cool girl would wear to her Bat Mitzvah.

The instant the big night was over, I got out my paints and coolifyed my “appropriate” shoes.

I’m pretty sure there is a bird on here somewhere. These have really help up well. They always make me smile.

And some things never change. I still have a hard time leaving stuff alone.

What a cool mom you are! How great that you saved these intensely awesome shoes. Being inappropriate is sometimes a good thing.
