I grew up watching the Smurfs and I have a soft spot for Smurfette. Maybe it was because I grew up as the only girl child in the family, with several brothers. Smurfette is… cool. There’s just something special about her. She knows how to charm and is never a pushover. She’s confident and everyone adores her. Her smart, savvy attitude is irresistible.
As a mom I often see that same spirit in my own girls and I just love it.
It’s easy to envision a gift list for a super girly girl or a tomboy but what about that girl that straddles the line? Spunky and spirited but still all girl…
If you ask me, it’s not so hard. Smurfette is a delight to shop for. Can you think what you’d buy for her? I can!
A sweet little blue icon has inspired the items on this list — perfect for your own “character.”
Oh what perfect kicks! Smurfette is on the run and having fun. She won’t get tripped up when she’s wearing these sequined Twinkle Toes hi tops from Skechers. I love these blue sparklers and honestly, what DON’T they go with?
When it comes time to come clean, Smurfette won’t be able to resist this Philosophy Blue Raspberry Snowcone Shower Gel, Shampoo and Bubble Bath. This luxurious gel smells awesome and does it all, keeping little Smurfettes berry fresh. Philosophy bath products are on my list every year for myself AND my girls.
Smurfette is a very social creature with lots of friends and admirers. This only amplifies as she grows into a teen. What to get your girl? An ordinary alarm clock is boring but theSony Dash Wifi App Enabled Alarm Clock is one she’ll love for years to come. With app access to news, weather, social media, photo sharing and her favorite music, this alarm clock will not only wake her up, it will help her stay connected with and keep track of friends, family and her increasingly busy life. It might even help with homework!
When Smurfette kicks up her heels, the last thing she wants to worry about is her panties showing. Whether she’s a preschool cutie, a twirling third grader or a member of the High School Cheer squad, she’ll love Francie Pants. These adorable sport/privacy shorts go over underwear, allowing your girl to wear skirts, dresses and leotards confidently and worry free.
Sometimes a girl’s got to be a little tough. Particularly when she’s hanging with the boys. But no need to sacrifice style! Tough can be a thing of beauty too. I love these funky Spiketus Rex spiky backpacks from MadPax. They say “don’t mess with me” and look fab at the same time.
Smurfette is always one to make an entrance and leave an impression. She’s on the go and she got that spark which is why this last gift idea shouldn’t be a shocker. The Razor Spark scooter is a perfect gift choice for Smurfette. Sure, it’s going to make her Smurfy brothers a little jealous but they will have to wait their turn. Smurfette goes first!
I had a lot of fun coming up with gift ideas for the “Smurfettes” in my life and now I’d love to hear yours!
Leave me a suggestion and I’ll pick my favorite. Why? Because it’s fun. Also because The Smurfs will be donating a The Smurfs gift pack (toys and backpacks) to Toys For Tots for the best, most creative gift idea recommended here and will also share your suggestion with the world via Twitter.
