Covering the Red Carpet with Kodak at the Streamy Awards

I was sad I couldn’t make it to the Streamy Awards this past Sunday, but thrilled that I was able to catch up on the red carpet scene by watching videos shot by friends and fellow LA Mom Bloggers Bernadette Batts of Bern Baby Bern and Donna Mills Schwartz of SoCalMom. The two of them are fabulous and funny and seemed to be having a great time asking the nominees about their favorite “Kodak Moment”.

Speaking of the Streamys, did I mention I happen to know the people who won for best new web series? Or how excited I am for them that their totally awesome, hysterically funny and well done series, Odd Job Nation is now a prestigious “award winning” one?  So although I didn’t get to work the red carpet, I did get to have lunch last week with Ashley Albert and Jeremy Redleaf of Odd Job Nation. Have you seen it? Click through and watch it stat! I really need someone to “Do the Chump” with me. Don’t worry, that will make sense after you watch Odd Job Nation.

(PS. While you’re surfing, direct your kids to Ashley’s awesome kids music videos over at The Jimmies website too. I’d like to start a petition to get her on between the shows on Nickelodeon because I want the whole world to sing Bedhead with me. Make it cool to leave the house with crazy cowlicks….)

Although I didn’t attend the Streamys event, I was lucky enough to score some of the same Kodak gear that the attending LA Mom Bloggers used on the red carpet to review for you: a Zi8 cam, EasyShare camera and Pulse digital frame.  I’ll be sharing more about this great gear shortly. I already have plans for the EasyShare and the Pulse as a novel way to stay in touch with a friend who is abandoning me moving away to a foreign country this summer. I’m hopeful that Kodak will provide the solution that allows us to keep in touch by sharing photos on facebook more fluidly.

As for the Zi8 cam, it’s about to get tested today. Conveniently, I am red carpet bound tonight, off to a fundraiser for FairFund LA where I will be interviewing celebs with my Kodak camera. I’ll be sharing my review of the Zi8 Cam in a future post.

In the meantime, be sure to click through and read all that Bernadette and Donna had to say about the Streamys! I particularly love all the rest of the unedited Streamys red carpet footage on Donna’s Youtube Channel.

Could I have put more links in this post? I cannot be held responsible for your carpal tunnel. Just saying. If you are still capable of using your thumbs, leave me a comment with your favorite “red carpet question”.
