Recently we went to Legoland, CA to experience the new 4D Clutch Powers attraction. Did my kids like it? No.
They loved it. The movie, the music, the special effects. I have to admit that I did too. It was just the perfect amount of high tech meets Eurodork. It was refreshingly fun. And the fun continued on the drive home with the Clutch Powers DVD that the park gifted us with.
I’ll be honest. I wasn’t expecting much from either the attraction or the DVD. I’m just meh on most kids programming. My kids tend to disagree on what they want to watch – not shocking when you have kids from age 2-13 of both genders. But miracle of miracles they all liked Clutch Powers AND it didn’t annoy me. I had a perfect drive home of kid silence and the occasional giggle.
When I asked my daughters why they liked it, they rolled their eyes and said it was a little kid video BUT it’s better than other cartoons. My 13yo said “It’s well made, has just the right amount of sarcasm and has funny lego humor”. My five yr old just said he liked it because it’s “AWEsome”. And the two year old carried the box in and out of the car for three days. We’ve been watching it repeatedly ever since.
